This post has zero to do with poker. It has to do with pride.

It’s Oscar night.

My son, Joey Caplan, writes for an online magazine called Gaming Trend.

He wrote this piece critiquing every Oscar-nominated film for 2026. He’s so clever and funny and astute and talented. I have no idea where he gets these smarts from. Not me, that’s for certain. And while Ruth is very intelligent, smarter than the average Cocker Spaniel fer sure… this is a different level. If he wasn’t my spitting image… I dunno… it could make a guy wonder…

Anyway, read this so that tonight, when you watch the awards, you can pretend you know something.
