I have no time to write this blog. It’s 7:00 AM and I’m working on less than five hours sleep, and i have another busy day today.

Here’s quickly how yesterday went.

-woke up at 7:30 AM and was out by 8 for a ninety minute contemplative walk on the beach. And yes, I realize that most of the people reading this blog are up to their asses in snow right now. Sorry (not sorry).

-Visited my brother Michael for a while. He’s not good (a story for another day).

-Played Day two of Event Number One. Day two started with 64 people left (out of the original 496) and by about 4:30 PM there were 18 of us when my AK ran into 88 and didn’t improve. Out in 18th for a $1780 cash out.

-Almost immediately (well, after a lovely Cob Salad) late-registered for Event Number Two, another $400 buy-in. With 195 entrants, just after midnight, I ended up in 10th place when my AQ ran into 88 (ironically enough) for a $980 payout with another $300 in bounties.

For the first time ever I cashed in two tournaments on the same day!

Today I’ll play in the Main Event, an $1100 buy-in.

I’m going for the hat trick, the three-peat, the triple crown, the … the… the three horsemen of the apocalypse.

Yes, I realize I played poker for over 13 hours straight yesterday, nine hours on Friday, and now I’m heading back for more (and somehow still managed to get in my 15,000 steps!)

I know what you’re thinking. Rich, shouldn’t you see a therapist, or an exorcist, (or at least a podiatrist)?

What can I tell ya. I love this game and I’m good enough at it to make a modest profit. And I do think I’m getting better at it all the time. And yesterday was awesome. The poker world is filled with characters. I feel like yesterday, almost every one of them could have their own sit-com.

I played with this guy, Mike, who as you can plainly see – even if you didn’t read his tee-shirt – knows how to meet ladies! Mike was there with his son, who also played in the event.

I also played with this guy who has a Youtube channel called “Suck Me Poker” and I don’t what’s a more charming title for a Youtube channel than that. He said that he’d plug my blog if I plugged his Youtube channel, so here’s me holding up my part of the deal.
