needs to be done. These muffins look appealing but they’re under-sized, expensive,
and soon prove themselves to be empty, unwholesome, irritatingly sweet, and

internet nerds, and good ole’ boy rednecks. All at close quarters, engaged in
an activity that is already wrought with competitiveness and tension.

So I had my
requisite slew of meetings on Friday, you know, took care of bidness, got some
shit done, and then headed down to Commerce. Played in a few “sit ‘n’ goes”
lost one, chopped one, and basically broke even.

in a $350 tourney I lost a brutal “set over set” situation where my 99 was way
ahead of my opponents AA when the flop came K,9,2 rainbow. Needless to say, we
get it all-in at that point. Turn 7. River A.

120 single-table short-stack tournament, I’ve got AA, raise pre-flop and get
one caller. Flop comes A J 4. I bet, he calls. Turn is a 3. I shove, he calls
and turns over 56 off. River’s a 7. There are no words.

down in a $150 satellite with five winners getting $1100. And I win it, my key
hand coming when my JJ cracked AA.

win basically pays for all the little tournaments I’m playing this weekend. We call
that “free-rollin’”. Today is a little $175 with a surprisingly large $50,000
guaranteed prize pool. We’ll see how that goes.
