Blog Number Fifty-Four: Magic? – Sunday May 25, 2014 – Kahnawake, Quebec

You’ve heard of Antonio Esfandiari? No? He’s the leading money winner in the history of poker. They call him “The Magician” a little because of his sleight-of-hand skills and mostly because of his poker skills. Nice to see him sit down at your table with a huge stack of chips, eh?

Long story short, none of that magic rubbed off on me today.

I’m out.

Dwindled down to a lowly stack of 19K with blinds at 1000/2000 I was forced to shove my 77 from first position. I got understandably called by AQ. Not so bad. If I win this coin flip, I’m back up to a respectable 45K. Flop comes 663. Nice. Turn is another 6. Nice. River’s an Ace. Not nice.

Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

So now I’m eating lunch with Domenic which is like watching our cleaning lady vacuum the carpet.

I’ll be driving home on a beauty of a day, though. Not happy. But still happy. Maybe I’ll recap later. I dunno.
