Well, let’s call it a questionable milestone. I’ve made it to the second day, although I practically had to back my way in. I’ve got 22,000 chips going into day two. Sound impressive? Not really, given that we started with 30,000 and the average chipstack as we speak is about 55,000.

872 people started the tourny and we are now down to 510. I may be cracking the top 500 right now, but not by much. Looks a little bleak. I’ve probably been way too passive, but I’m just not getting any cards in position (or out of position, frankly). Still, I’m alive. Blinds will start at 500-1000 with a $100 ante. 22K won’t last long at that rate so I’m going to have to put them to work for me early. We’ll see what happens.

So I have three TV’s in my room, one in the living room, one in the bedroom, and one in the crapper. When I came back to my room tonight (at midnight) they were all on and blaring a commercial for Blue man Group. And I sure as heck didn’t leave them on. Do you have any idea how creepy that is? I’m guessing not. On the other hand, my toiletries were all laid out in a neat and orderly fashion, and that sure wasn’t me either. So I guess it’s all good.
